Q. What is the significance of Early Childhood Education? Why should I not send my child directly to formal school?

ANS. Research shows that up to 50% of a child’s ability to learn develops by the age of five. Proper preschool educational ensures an environment for this growth to take place. According to the US Department Of Education, preschool plays a large role in later academic success. Children in high quality preschools display better language, cognitive, and social skills than children who attended low quality programs. They have longer attention spans, stronger social abilities, and better language and math skills well into their elementary school careers, and are better performers in college as well as life.

Q. What is 21st Century Education and why is it required?

ANS. PlayShaala aims to introduce a complete education sySTREAM for the Brave New India of the 21st Century. We would focus on student engagement (which goes beyond listening attentively to class teacher), deeper learning (which goes beyond memorization of textbook content) with development of 21st century skills like communication, collaboration, creativity and critical thinking

Q. How is PlayShaala different from other pre-schools?

Q. How will you assess the development of my child?

ANS. We believe appreciation is the magic wand, which can do wonders to a child’s personality. Each child at PlayShaala is encouraged and applauded by awarding appreciation certificates every month for a various skills like leadership, confidence, communication ability or talents like singing, dancing, creativity and for exhibiting attributes like love, care, obedience and so on.

Q. How do you ensure future readiness for my ward?

Q. What are the activities that are unique to PlayShaala ?

ANS. Our exclusive activities for children include PBL , STREAM activities , Circle Time , Story Time , Yoga , Jigsaw Puzzles , Patterns , Origami,puppet show, story telling, sand play, water play, nature walk, etc.

Q. Do you take care of writing skills?

ANS. At PlayShaala writing skills are taken care with English, Hindi, and Mathematics.

Q. How do you cater to Special needs of children?

ANS. PlayShaala curriculum is designed so as to cater to the children with special needs as well.

Q. What is SLC? What are the benefits of this setting?

ANS. SLC are small learning communities where in all the learners are at one place.
SLC setting is very beneficial as it allows providing mixed learning environment. A child gets opportunities to learn from older children.

Q. How would you inculcate the values, culture and vision that you are professing?

ANS. We at PlayShaala inculcate moral values through Sanskriti Teaching Periods. We believe in making our future 21st Century Global Citizens. Hence, each little event of life is celebrated with grandeur so as to provide opportunities to these aspiring tiny tots to perform before large audiences and give you moments of pride as parents. Our country is popular for its rich tradition and culture! The children who have their roots in such traditions are more grounded and have strong sense of family values. Also International days & Festivals are celebrated so as to provide an exposure at international level.

Q. What is the right age for kids to start going to a preschool?

ANS. It is usually found that a child can enjoy positive peer interaction when they are older than two years old. There a few kids who enjoy adult-child interaction even before they are two years old. It is therefore by the age of two that the child becomes a social being.
Therefore early enrollment is a viable option if the parents are unable to provide the child with a positive environment that is conducive to development.

Q. Should I send him to preschool if he doesn’t speak yet?

ANS. PlayShaala has an option of Mamta-the Mother Toddler Program, which is an experiential program for the new mothers, who need to understand their child’s curiosities, growth and development, along with her health & hygiene requirements.

This Program is for Mother’s with kids of age 1 to 2 years. Therefore the activities are designed based on the developmental needs of the toddlers.

This will also suffice the communication skills development as well as Social and Emotional Skills.

Q. Does my child need to be toilet trained before he joins the preschool?

ANS. The school imparts toilet training by following a routine wherein a child is taken to the washroom when he reaches the school, before mealtime, after mealtime and when he is leaving in afternoon. Slowly and gradually the child falls into this pattern and starts informing the teachers and maids as and when he feels the urge.

Q. Are Mid-Session admissions allowed?

ANS. Yes we do have mid-session admissions however a child needs to have minimum level of learning from the previous Class. Also Transfer Certificate submission is mandatory if the child is from a different school.

Q. Which Documents need to be submitted at the time of admission?


  1. A birth certificate as a proof of age from an authorized body is required at the time of admission.
  2. 4 passport sized photographs of child and 4 passport photographs of each parent with one family photograph
  3. Filled Application form
  4. Transfer Certificate if applicable
  5. Immunization Record Booklet photocopy
  6. Address Proof of the Parents

Q. What is the Registration fee and Annual Tuition fee?

ANS. The Registration Fee is Rs 5000 only and Annual Tuition Fee (Rs 20,000 – Rs 65,000) as per the Centre.

Q. What all will be provided at the time of admission?

ANS. Student Kits – Uniform, Stationery.

Q. Is the child required to wear uniform?

ANS. For Play Group there is no uniform however from Nursery till PPII there is Uniform.

Q. Do we have to pay any donations?

ANS. No, donations and recommendations are not accepted.

Q. Is this a franchise school?

ANS. Yes, it is a franchise school.


Q. What are the facilities that are unique to PlayShaala ?

ANS. Our unique facilities include 21st Century Learning Environment, safety and security of the child, STREAM PlayCenters, Library Center , Splash pool, and many more.

Q. How will you ensure the safety and security of my child inside and outside the school in Bus or during field visits?

ANS. We have trained instructors, who in the presence of teachers, look after the safety and security of each and every child. In addition to this, we have regular rounds of school by Branch Heads & Academic Heads to ensure that your child’s safety is of prime importance.

Q. What is the quality/background of teachers that we have? Do they speak well in English?

ANS. Trained facilitators at PlayShaala nurtures every learner for the maximum learning and understanding to happen. We help them develop the skills critical for success in this century – leadership, teamwork, strong communication skills, problem-solving, and positive ethics, inquisitiveness, creativity and thinking.

Development of these skills is embedded into PlayShaala ’s curriculum to ensure every student is prepared to reach her true potential in life.

Q. What is the class size and the student-teacher ratio that we follow?

ANS. Class size is between 25 and 30 and student teacher ratio is 15:1.

Q. What is the student-maid ratio that you have?

ANS. Each class has a dedicated maid to help two teachers of the class. The washrooms across all floors have separate maids to assist the children with washing and cleaning

Q. Do you teach swimming to the children here?

ANS. We provide Splash pool for water fun. Children at this age are too young to learn to swim, so we can’t afford to take a chance with them.

Q. Does the school provide transport facility?

ANS. Yes, transport is available from all the areas in a radius of 2 to 5 kms of school campus.


Q. What do you expect from me as a parent?

ANS. Parents are expected to keep in tandem with the syllabus and activities happening at PlayShaala through Newsletter. This will help parents to provide or extend similar learning at home too.

Q. What is my role as a parent?

ANS. Parents play a vital role in child’s learning experience at the school. The success of your child and their future greatly depends on the support that they receive from you and the school.

Yes, PlayShaala pedagogy requires frequent involvement of parents to help in student’s assessment through their observation. This will also add to the learning of the students as their parents will be to guide them and help them to improve further.

Q. Is Spoken English mandatory in school?

ANS. At PlayShaala the facilitators help kids to speak in English the lingua franca of the world. This happens through the curriculum conversation periods.
